Hey y’all! I’m Nat, thanks for taking a moment to get to know me beyond the confines of my (very professional) resume! I'm a native of the vibrant city of Austin, Texas, where creativity ran through my veins from a young age. Growing up surrounded by a family of artists, architects, craftsmen, and engineers, I developed a profound appreciation for design and how it empowers people to showcase their unique perspectives and express their individuality. I learned that design isn't just a profession—it's a force that permeates every aspect of our very existence, molding the world around us and influencing how we engage with it.

 

Before landing where I am today, I pursued a major in communications and a minor in sociology, even a brief flirtation with the idea of law school (can you imagine?). Along the way, I gained professional experience through diverse marketing roles, including involvement in digital marketing initiatives for an insurance company and spearheading campaigns while designing social media graphics for a nonprofit combating child hunger. Each of these roles sharpened my abilities in communication, problem-solving, and understanding human behavior, attributes that have proven to be valueable assets on my path to UX.

 

I stumbled into the world of UX design almost by chance, signing up for a User Experience class on a whim just to fulfill one of my final credits for my major. Truth be told, I had no idea what the class was about when I enrolled. What began as a casual decision turned into a profound revelation. Everything clicked, it encompassed everything I loved: technology, psychology, order, and design—I had finally discovered that this was what I was meant to do.
 

I'm excited to dive deeper into the world of UX design, fueled by my diverse background and passion for creativity. With a heart that beats for design and aesthetics, I'm always tinkering on personal projects for the sheer joy of it. Feedback and collaboration drive my creativity, and I thrive on thinking outside the box to solve challenges. Eager to learn and grow, I'm confident that I'll be a valuable addition to any team.
